UNDIVIDED U.S. TERRITORY from August 10, 1821, to June 28, 1834
(4 Stat. L. 701). This was the part of Missouri Territory remaining
after the state of Missouri, containing the seat of the government of
the territory, was admitted to the Union. This remaining territory
had no local constitutional status nor capital.
MICHIGAN TERRITORY from June 28, 1834 (4 Stat. L. 701) to July 4,
1836 (5 Stat. L. 10). Capital at Detroit.
